Community Engagement

By working together, we are able to make meaningful progress in creating a safer and healthier environment for our children.

We hope this letter finds you well and filled with excitement as we gear up for the start of a new school year. As summer draws to a close, we eagerly anticipate the return of our students to the classrooms, hallways, and playgrounds of SCSD. The beginning of each school year brings with it a renewed sense of energy and a commitment to the growth and success of our learners.

During the month of May, the Tierra Linda Speech and Debate Team competed at the CHSSA Middle School State Tournament. There were over 600 students from all over California at the competition. We had 12 students win awards, but most notably, we had four students come away with state titles. The teams of Robinson/Simon and Massey/Chien were named Co-State Champions in Parliamentary Debate. Congratulations!

Speaker and writer of "When You Wonder, You're Learning" Ryan Rydzewski will speak on how to help parents and caregivers create a blueprint for raising happier, healthier kids.

Children are welcome to attend, but supervision is unavailable. This event is free and available for ALL!
