If you or someone you know has a student in grades TK-8 who will be new or returning to the San Carlos School District for the 2021-2022 school year, this information is important news for you.

The new student registration process begins on January 20. The link to the online pre-registration form opens at 12:00 pm (noon) on our How to Register for the 2021-2022 (Next) School Year page. Click on the title link above for more information.

Priority registration ends on Friday, February 26, 2021.

On March 3, 2020, the voters of the San Carlos School District (“District”) approved Measure N, which authorized the District to renew and increase the existing parcel tax to $334.60 per parcel for 8 years. Measure N requires the establishment of an independent citizen’s oversight committee (the “Committee”). The committee will oversee expenditures of the special taxes collected pursuant to Measure N and ensure that monies raised are spent only for the purposes described in Measure N.

To be eligible for the Committee, you must be at least 18 years of age and reside within the San Carlos School District's geographic boundaries. Please review the information on the right and submit an application by 4:00 pm on Friday, January 29, 2021. Click on the title link above for more information.

All SCSD schools will be closed for President's Week Break the week of February 15-19, 2021.

Each quarter, two representatives of the San Carlos School District Board of Trustees and the two representatives of the City of San Carlos City Council, along with staff from the District and City, meet in a "2+2 Meeting." This is a public meeting where the District and City communicate and collaborate on topics related to both entities. The next 2+2 Meeting is this Friday, January 29, 2021 at at 8:30 am.
