Having dedicated space for each of our programs is critical to its success.

All Programs Available

Transitional Kindergarten Extended Learning Program (TKELP)
TKELP offers an enriching, after school (only) extended-day program that is appropriate for our littlest students. TKELP is open from the end of the school day until 5:30 pm. More information about the program can be found by clicking on the link below.

Before and After School Care (K-5th Grade) - ACE and San Carlos Belmont Afterschool
There are two additional choices for on-campus childcare for K-5th grade if your schedule requires an earlier drop-off or later pick-up - ACE and San Carlos Belmont Afterschool. Please refer to the websites listed below for more information and reach out to these providers for more information.

Expanded Learning Opportunity Program (ELOP) Assistance Available (TK-6th Grade)

SCSD has funding available to support students wishing to participate in our Expanded Learning Programs, both before and after school for families that qualify. More information about the program can be found by clicking on the link below.

Transitional Kindergarten Extended Learning Program (TKELP) (TK Students Only)

Unlock an unforgettable after-school adventure for your little one with TKELP! Our program is designed to provide a safe, welcoming space where your child 4-year old will thrive while having a blast. From dynamic physical activities like JamaRoo Kids Dance to hands-on STEAM projects, every day is packed with opportunities for exploration, creativity, and discovery. Plus, we’re thrilled to offer a Spanish Language Enrichment program, immersing TKers in a fun, interactive way to start learning a new language!

TKELP offers the perfect environment for your child to grow and thrive with enriching, tailored activities. Plus, TKELP students receive priority enrollment in the ACE Program for Kindergarten the following year! Students can also register for San Carlos Belmont Afterschool, both programs available for K-5th grade students.

Our program is available at Arundel, Brittan Acres, Heather, and White Oaks Elementary Schools. Don’t wait—enrollment for the 2025-26 school year opens on October 1, 2024!

Afterschool Care Enrichment (ACE) Program (K - 5th Grade)

ACE provides a family oriented, licensed child care program, by creating a space where students feel safe, at home, and excited to be a part of each day. ACE offers a flexible, inclusive, and innovative environment focused on enrichment and youth development, to challenge our elementary school students in our growing world. Morning (breakfast included) and after school programs are available.

San Carlos Belmont Afterschool Program (K - 3rd Grade)

Since 1981, San Carlos Belmont After School (SCBAS) has provided state licensed childcare to families in San Carlos and Belmont on-site at each of the district elementary schools. Known simply as “After School” we are pioneers and leaders in our community in the work of providing excellent and experienced care. We believe that school-aged children learn best in a warm, friendly and nurturing environment that is child initiated and play based. Our mature and highly trained staff work hard daily to provide interesting and fun growth and development experiences with the goals of fostering self-confidence, creativity, curiosity, and autonomy while nurturing individuality and freedom of choice. The children we serve will become experienced in healthy social interaction and teamwork, while learning to develop their social skills and build positive relationships with peers and adults. In short, After School provides your children with a strong basis for lifelong learning in a safe and fun environment.

Expanded Learning Opportunity Program (ELOP) Assistance Available

SCSD has funding available to support students wishing to participate in our Expanded Learning Opportunity Program, both before and after school. If you believe your child would benefit from attending one of our before or afterschool programs, grant funding is available to help pay for tuition for qualifying families. We offer a variety of after school enrichment classes on our campuses, immediately after school. Students can be dismissed directly to these classes by their teachers (or after checking in at TKELP, ACE or San Carlos Belmont After School), as the classes take place on campus.
