Community Engagement

As we wrap up the 2025–26 school year, the past few weeks have given us so many opportunities to celebrate the incredible growth and accomplishments of our learners. From Celebrations of Learning and art showcases, to performances, field days, and outdoor experiences, our schools have been filled with joy, creativity, and a deep sense of community.

San Carlos School District wants to ensure that all students have access to nutritious meals and other food assistance during the summer months when school is not in session. We encourage families to consider the following resources available in San Mateo County.


Seamless Summer Option and Summer Food Service Program are two programs that provide meals without charge to all children ages 18 and under, regardless of income level, prior qualification, or district of residence. Established to support current San Carlos School District staff in pursuing further education, certifications, and professional growth opportunities, the scholarship reflects a shared commitment to lifelong learning and leadership within SCSD.

The San Carlos School District (SCSD) Board of Trustees voted unanimously on April 2, 2026 to place a parcel tax renewal measure on the November 3, 2026 ballot. The measure would authorize a local tax to provide funding for district schools. Visit the 2026 Parcel Tax Renewal page to learn more.

It has been wonderful to see so many of you at recent school events. From 5th grade concerts to STEM Fairs, Walk-A-Jogs and Stampede and Soar, our schools have been full of energy, creativity, and opportunities to celebrate student learning.
